Theory X and theory Y - Theory X and Theory Y are theories of human motivation developed by Douglas McGregor at the MIT Sloan School of Management in the 1960s that have been used in human resource management, organizational behavior, and organizational development.

Self-Determination Theory - Self-determination theory (SDT) is a general theory of human motivation concerned with the development and functioning of personality within social contexts. The theory focuses on the degree to which human behaviors are volitional or self-determined - that is, the degree to which people endorse their actions at the highest level of reflection and engage in the actions with a full sense of choice.

Motivational Theory - Motivational Theory is a branch of educational psychology used to energize and direct student behavior through motivation. It points students in the right direction and attempts to keep them going in that direction.

Motivation to Learn: Integrating Theory and Practice by Deborah J. Stipek, X

Motivation to Learn: Integrating Theory and Practice by Deborah J. Stipek, X
This book integrates theory motivation theory and research in motivation motivation theory and applies them to classroom practice. This book gives readers a thorough understanding of motivation theories that can be applied to the needs of their students. Teachers can use these research-based theories to develop problem-solving skills in a range of educational contexts. The focus is on classroom learning, but attention is also given to how strategies used to motivate students in schools affect their motivation to participate in intellectual activities outside of school.

Cycles, Transfers, and Motivic Homology Theories by Vladimir Voevodsky,

Cycles, Transfers, and Motivic Homology Theories by Vladimir Voevodsky,
The original goal that ultimately led to this volume was the construction of "motivic cohomology theory, " whose existence was conjectured by A. Beilinson motivation theory and S. Lichtenbaum. This is achieved in the book's fourth paper, using results of the other papers whose additional role is to contribute to our understanding of various properties of algebraic cycles. The material presented provides the foundations for the recent proof of the celebrated "Milnor Conjecture" by Vladimir Voevodsky. The theory of sheaves of relative cycles is developed in the first paper of this volume. The theory of presheaves with transfers motivation theory and more specifically homotopy invariant presheaves with transfers is the main theme of the second paper. The Friedlander-Lawson moving lemma for families of algebraic cycles appears in the third paper in which a bivariant theory called bivariant cycle cohomology is constructed. The fifth motivation theory and last paper in the volume gives a proof of the fact that bivariant cycle cohomology groups are canonically isomorphic (in appropriate cases) to Bloch's higher Chow groups, thereby providing a link between the authors' theory motivation theory and Bloch's original approach to motivic (co-)homology.

Motivation Theory - Motivation Theory Motivation And Religion Considerable evidence indicates that religion is a motivational force in the lives of most of the world`s population, motivation theory and recent social motivation theory and political events have placed religion center stage. Motivation is considered an essential component of any adequate answer to the question, Why religion? That question concerned early psychologists, such as Freud motivation theory and James, but was relatively neglected with the ascendancy of behaviorism. It has since regained momentum as ...

Human Motivation - Human Motivation Human Rights Treaties The book examines patterns of participation in human rights treaties. International relations theory is divided on what motivates states to participate in treaties, specifically human rights treaties. Instead of examining the specific motivations, this dissertation examines patterns of participation. In doing so, it attempts to match theoretical expectations of state behavior with participation. The conclusion of this study is that the data suggests there are multiple motivations that lead states to participate in human rights treaties. ...
